We’re seeking a creative Social Media Content Creator who excels at translating their enthusiasm for social media into a vibrant, engaging online presence for our flagship product, LivePlan.
Your mission is to captivate, connect with, and educate startups, entrepreneurs, and small business owners by creating social media content centered on business planning and financial management.
Leveraging your expertise—especially in short-form video for YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram—you will transform your understanding of what works on social into strategic content that builds community, drives engagement, and solidifies LivePlan's position as an essential resource for growing businesses.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Content Marketing Manager. The starting pay may range from $60,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
NOTE: this is a hybrid position located in Eugene, OR.
Role Summary:
The Social Media Content Creator is responsible for developing engaging social media content on business planning and financial management to attract and educate startups, entrepreneurs, and small business owners. This role combines creativity, strategic thinking, and analytical skills to build and engage audiences across key social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and Reddit).

What success looks like in this role:
Establish LivePlan as a Go-To Resource on Social Media : Become a trusted source for engaging, educational content on business planning and financial management for startups and small businesses across key social platforms.
Objective: Drive Measurable Audience Growth & Engagement: Significantly increase the reach and engagement of LivePlan's target audience on primary social channels (YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn).
Key Result: Increase average monthly unique reach across primary channels (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram) by 5-10% MoM.
Key Result: Increase total combined followers/subscribers across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram
Key Result: Maintain an average monthly engagement rate (total engagements / total reach) of 3% while scaling our overall reach
Objective: Drive Leads into our Marketing Funnel: Utilize social media content and community interactions to generate qualified leads and move prospects through the marketing and sales funnel.
Key Result: Drive 2,000+ new sessions to the LivePlan blog/website per month originating from organic social channels (measured via GA4), with sustainable QoQ growth.
Key Result: Generate 50+ new Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) directly attributed to organic social media CTAs and trackable links, with sustainable QoQ growth.
Objective: Amplify Brand Reach through Strategic Partnerships: Expand LivePlan's visibility and credibility by building and managing a successful content creator partnership program.
Key Result: Establish active (content published) partnerships with 5-10 new relevant content creators in the startup/small business space per quarter.
Key Result: Generate 20,000+ impressions cumulatively across all partner content featuring LivePlan per quarter, with sustainable QoQ growth.
Key Result: Drive 500+ new qualified website visits attributed to partner-specific tracking links or codes per quarter, with sustainable QoQ growth.

1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
2. Significant experience in video creation, editing, and production
3. Proven track record of building engaged audiences on social media platforms
4. Familiarity with business planning and financial management concepts
5. Experience with social media analytics and reporting tools
