The Catholic School Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality instruction in accordance with Catholic values, academic standards, and the mission of the school. The teacher will create a faith-filled learning environment, support student spiritual and moral development, and promote academic excellence in a Christ-centered community.
Serve as a role model of Catholic faith and values
Integrate Catholic teachings into daily lessons and classroom culture
Participate in school Masses, prayer services, and religious celebrations
Encourage student participation in faith-based service and community engagement
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with curriculum standards
Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners
Assess and monitor student progress regularly
Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
Incorporate technology and innovative practices in instruction
Maintain discipline through positive behavior strategies
Set high academic and behavioral expectations
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Collaborate with faculty and administration on school improvement goals
Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, professional development, and faith formation activities
Maintain accurate and timely records of attendance, grades, and other required documentation
Uphold the school’s policies and Diocesan guidelines
